muscle weighing more than fat is a myth. Muscle looks smaller then fat and that is where the misconception is. Think about it 5 lbs is 5 lbs no matter what it is fat or muscle. I would just keep doing what you are doing sounds like you are doing everything you are supposed to do. Give your body a little more time.

lapband in 2008 at 298lbs , lowest weight was 183lbs , Band almost killed me and removed in 2011. No revison because to much damage for revision.

Cant help just wanted to send hugs, I spent 7 months at the same weight, tried with another fill only to get a partial slip and needing an unfill, so my advice change something try eating a little more or doing weights rather than pure cardio.

If it works, come back and let us know what you changed, believe me it will help someone else.

Make sure you're gettin enough sleep too. Helps alot if you can get at least 8 hrs a night.  You're doin awesome on the workouts. Wish I had that kind of motivation!

I'm having the same experience as you.  I do believe muscle weighs more than fat.  It depends on which google you choose to believe but I'm quoting every trainer I've had.  It just seems logical to me that since muscle is more dense than fat it would be heavier.   If you put a ball of cotton on a scale and the same size marble, the marble will weigh more.  I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow and will put that on my list of questions because now I'm curious.

I am losing inches myself and just keep reminding myself that's the point.  Eventually the weight will come off; it has to right?

Sounds like you need to shake up your routing....Eat more than you have been or eat less??  Go back to drinking protein shakes for a few days or just add some to your menu each day... hope this helps...but keep on exercising...maybe change the exercises you do or add more weight or less or longer or shorter amount of aerobic???  Just chage it up girl...

are you tracking food?  and exercise?
If so, are you netting approximately 1200 calories a day?

If you are averaging much below that, you will lose inches, but maybe no pounds.

Square inch for Square inch, you can squeeze more muscle into the same space that fat used to take up, but 16 ounces of fat and 16 ounces of muscle weigh the same -- a pound of feathers and a pound of gold are both still a pound --- but they take up different space.

So -- congrats on the shrinking, and I am sorry that the scale is being a brat.

maybe you actually need to eat a little more (high quality food) to get things moving again.

Try to keep in mind that if you're loosing inches you're loosing fat.

The whole misconception of muscle weighs more than fat comes in the form that while you're loosing fat, you're gaining lean muscle mass, so you're basically "evening" out and the scale decides to be spiteful and not move. Whether or not the scale will tell the truth is irrelevant, the tape measure doesn't lie. If it's shrinking, then you ARE loosing weight.

Also, do not...and seriously, I can't emphasize this enough...DO NOT weigh yourself any more than once per week. Your results will be far too inconsistent and just be more discouraging.

Make sure you're drinking enough water, maybe change up your exercise routine with something new or a different form (for instance, if you use the elipitcal 5 days a week, get on a bike or a treadmill instead). Reevaluate your diet, add in some more protein, change up the kinds of carbs you're eating, things like that....and try uping your calories for a week and see if that helps. If it doesn't drop em for a week and see if that does it.

Despite how discouraged you are, you're really doing fantastic!! Keep up the hard work and go snag yourself a new sexy pair of jeans that there was no way you'd fit into a few months ago. Shopping is good for the soul, I don't care what anyone says!! hehehe
